Why does call to NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx not triggering NDIS to call my MiniportInit ? Any suggestions Thanks in advance.

I want my MiniportInit get called for Virtual Miniport-Adapter interface. Calling to inform NDIS about relation ship between Filter-Driver and Virtual Miniport-Driver. Tried without INF file for Miniport-Driver portion also. I have used the 'CopyInf' directive in Filter-Driver's INF file to copy Virtual Miniport-Driver's INF file. Tried turning-it Off this flag & removing call to NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx also. Registered Miniport-Driver as IM-Driver by turning on NDIS_INTERMEDIATE_DRIVER flag in NdisMRegisterMiniportDriver. Call to NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx is success, but I've never seen call to my MiniportInitialize. Iam invokking NdisIMInitializeDeviceInstanceEx from my Filter-Attach, to trigger NDIS to call MiniportInitialize for my virtual-Miniport adapter. My FilterAttach is getting called for a physical-adapter found in the system. OS: Windows 7 NDIS ver: NDIS 6.x WDK: 7600.16385.0 I have included registration of both Miniport-Driver (virtual) and Filter-Driver in Driver-Entry. I want to include a Virtual-Miniport interface also along with Filter-Driver. It has a Filter-Driver interface with NDIS in regular path. This looks like a IM-driver but, instead it won't have lower-edge protocol-driver.
